Samsung just released Android 17 updates for Galaxy S23 and several more devices

Samsung is rumored to be developing a new Galaxy software identity, potentially phasing out One UI in favor of a custom OS. This follows the release of Android 17 updates for Galaxy S23 and additional devices, indicating a significant shift in software strategy. Reports from Android Authority and 9to5Google suggest that Samsung may be cooking up a new identity for its Galaxy software, with the Android 17 update rollout continuing for several more devices. Despite the buzz, One UI 9 has not yet gained significant traction, as indicated by Wired's 2026年最佳折叠手机推荐, which highlights the competitive landscape in the foldable phone market.
